David Farrow served 24 years in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of Colonel. During his post-Air Force employment search which was leaning to an executive-level defense industry position, David received an unsolicited email from a Christian executive search recruiter that changed the trajectory of his entire post-military life. Conducting a retained executive search for an international missionary organization, this recruiter found David's profile on LinkedIn and was drawn to his Ministerial Studies master's degree from 15 years earlier. He asked David, "I see that you have leadership skills, have you ever thought about going into global missions?"
That one question caused David to re-evaluate his entire perspective on using one's gifts and talents acquired in the military. That one question opened the door to David accepting a Vice President of Administration position with an international missionary organization pursuing the Great Commission in 20 nations on six continents.
That one question is at the foundation of Mobilizing Former Military for Missions (MFM4M). On average, 200,000 members depart the United States military every year. No group of laborers on the planet has more field experience with the remaining 6,688 unreached people groups than these departing military members. David and MFM4M want to ensure that Christians within this 200,000-member group are asked "if they have ever thought about going into global missions?"
